Future Riders is a DTC eCommerce brand. Founded in 2024 by a parent with a son who enjoys riding himself, they are on a mission to make the world of electric balance bikes more accessible, stress-free and affordable for parents. They stock a range of popular brands and have an ambitious growth strategy.

Future Riders came to us with a basic but effective Shopify store and very limited sales history. They had no Google Search Console account and organic traffic was practically non-existent. The challenge was to get the domain authority up and to pull converting organic traffic onto the site as quickly as possible to reduce reliance on paid advertising. We identified a weakness in the sector for informational content, so quickly realised that the right content written onto the right pages could lead to revenue. This is SEO done right, with the focus being on helping the potential purchasers understand electric balance bikes, addressing key questions they have and providing comparison and reassurance.

Technical Standards
Before any content was created or keywords targeted, we ensured the foundations of the website were strong. SEO performance compounds, but only when the technical framework allows search engines to crawl, understand and trust the site. We began by setting up and configuring Google Search Console, giving us immediate insight into indexing issues, crawl behaviour and early keyword visibility. From there, we implemented a series of technical improvements designed to increase clarity, authority and scalability. This included the deployment of structured data (schema markup) across key page types to help search engines better understand products, categories and brand relationships. Product schema, breadcrumb schema and organisational schema were all carefully implemented to support rich results and improved click-through rates. We also refined page structures and internal linking, ensuring that category, product and informational pages were logically connected. Breadcrumb navigation was optimised to improve both user experience and crawl efficiency, helping search engines understand site hierarchy while making navigation easier for parents researching products. Finally, we reviewed site speed, indexation rules and duplicate content risks to ensure the site met modern SEO standards. This technical work laid the groundwork for all future growth; without it, content alone would not have delivered the same results.
Content creation
With strong technical foundations in place, we shifted focus to content — the real growth driver for Future Riders. Our strategy was built around one key insight: parents don’t just want to buy an electric balance bike, they want reassurance, clarity and confidence. The market was saturated with product listings, but underserved when it came to genuinely helpful information. We expanded and optimised category page copy, transforming them from simple product listings into authoritative buying hubs. Each category was written to answer common parent questions, explain differences between models and guide users naturally toward the most suitable options. On product pages, we went beyond manufacturer descriptions. We rewrote copy to highlight real-world benefits, age suitability, safety considerations and comparisons — all framed in language parents understand and trust. This improved both rankings and on-page conversion rates. Alongside commercial pages, we launched a targeted blog and informational content strategy. These articles addressed high-intent questions such as: Which electric balance bike is best for different ages? How electric balance bikes compare to traditional balance bikes Safety considerations for young riders Each piece of content was internally linked to relevant categories and products, ensuring traffic didn’t just arrive — it converted. This content-first approach allowed Future Riders to capture demand at every stage of the buyer journey, from early research to purchase-ready intent.
Smart Collections
One of the most impactful elements of the strategy was the creation of smart collections designed specifically for organic search intent. Rather than relying solely on brand or generic categories, we built collections based on how parents actually search. This included collections targeting: Age ranges (e.g. electric balance bikes for 2–3 year olds) Wheel sizes Popular brands Use cases and experience levels These collections were not just filters — they were fully optimised landing pages, each with tailored copy, internal links and clear positioning. This allowed us to rank for a wider range of highly specific, high-converting keywords while improving user experience at the same time. Smart collections also reduced friction for shoppers. Parents could quickly find suitable products without needing deep technical knowledge, which increased engagement metrics and conversion rates — signals that further reinforced SEO performance.
