Future Riders is a DTC eCommerce brand. Founded in 2024 by a parent with a son who enjoys riding himself, they are on a mission to make the world of electric balance bikes more accessible, stress-free and affordable for parents. They stock a range of popular brands and have an ambitious growth strategy.

Future Riders came to us with a basic but effective Shopify store and very limited sales history. He needed to acquire and retain customers, and to do so profitably from day one so that he could grow. There were some big companies involved in this industry already but Future Riders, and their owner, impressed us with their drive and we quickly realised this was a brand with real potential. So we went away with a clear challenge, to scale a startup eCommerce store with no historic revenue, profitably.

Services We Implemented

Our services work better in conjunction which is why we invented our eCommerce growth retainer packages. We focused on PPC and SEO for customer acquisition. Retention was then achieved through Klaviyo and some low budget Meta Ads.

PPC
We immediately noticed the high search intent for the products and brands Future Riders stocked, and decided that Performance Max campaigns would give the client a great chance of securing sales. This is often an effective approach for brands needing a high ROAS and to scale profitably, as demand already exists so the sale just needs to be ‘sniped’ lower down the funnel. In order to do this more effectively, we signed up to ProductHero for CSS (Comparison Shopping Services), lowering CPC (Cost Per Click) by 20% on Google Shopping clicks. We also use our expertise to extensively optimise the product feed on an ongoing basis. Finally, we helped the client to implement review collection and syndicated this with Google, so that trust and authority could clearly be showcased for potential customers browsing shops they can buy from on Google. In 2024 we achieved a 24.76 ROAS (Return On Ad Spend), meaning the client saw £24,76 of revenue for every £1 he spent on Google Ads which was very profitable with the clients profit margins. This is exceptional. Following this success and the highly profitable nature of the campaigns, we have strategically increased ad spend. By the end of 2025, spend it at 6x what it was YoY. Despite this, in 2025 we have returned a 21.84 ROAS, with November 2025 recording a record 40.89 ROAS. PPC has been a pivotal acquisition channel for this DTC eCommerce store, and has enabled the client to bring over 150,000 high-intent potential purchasers onto the website thus far.
SEO
This was a client-made Shopify Store but, it did start at a reasonably strong level in terms of conversion and SEO. That said, we have been able to deliver strong organic sessions and revenue growth through our on-page technical SEO work, and strategic content creation. We set minimum standards for technical SEO, which our in-house marketing specialists and developers then sprint to. This ensures Google crawls the website and receives as many positive signals as possible whilst doing so. We’ve been able to clear all issues on our auditing software and enhance things further than even our standards. Content-wise, we built collections for different brands, different bike sizes and different ages of riders. Each of these collections can then appeal to shoppers searching from a specific angle, whether it is ‘the best balance bikes for an 8 year old’,‘great 18 inch balance bikes’ or ‘revvi 16” bikes’. We wrote a significant amount of SEO-optimised content for each of these pages, implementing comparison tables where appropriate, FAQ’s with schema to cover typical searches and keyword-optimised copy that is also written to convert shoppers as well as appeal to Google. In addition to this, we have implemented a blogging strategy focusing on comparison articles for parents higher up the funnel who do not yet know which bike is best for their child, or are unsure about a particular bike. These have taken the form of ‘ultimate guide to’ blogs and comparison blogs reviewing particular bikes against each other. These blogs have quickly become some of the most visited pages in Google Search Console and we have recorded an uplift in revenue on the bikes mentioned.
Email Marketing
We use Klaviyo for email marketing as it unlocks a lot of potential to collect and use data. We ran an initial Klaviyo project, setting up a pop-up that collects the names and ages of potential future riders as well as brands interested in. Our automations warm people up to the brand and introduce the owner, retrieve lost sessions and carts, plus anniversary flows help to email families at the right time with the right size of bike for their kids. On top of this, we connected Klaviyo back to Google Ads to feed more data into the Pmax campaigns we set up and we run campaigns to inform customers of key messages, product launches and service related information.

The Results

This eCommerce Growth Retainer has delivered results that we are incredibly proud of. It’s been very rewarding to take on a brand with clear potential but no historic revenue, and to transform it into a business returning seven figure revenue annually.
