Jenkinsons Caterers’ customer journey is complex, emotional and highly operational, spanning enquiries, bookings, tastings, meetings, payments and post‑event follow‑ups. While email played an important role in this process, communication was largely manual and fragmented, creating unnecessary internal workload and the risk of inconsistent client experience. We began by reviewing Jenkinsons’ full customer journey, from initial wedding booking through to tasting days, meetings, payments and post‑wedding follow‑ups. Rather than focusing on campaigns or sales messaging, we defined the operational moments that mattered most to couples and internal teams. This allowed us to create a clear automation roadmap focused on consistency, clarity and experience.
2. Journey mapping & lifecycle logic
We mapped each stage of the wedding planning lifecycle and translated it into Klaviyo logic. This included booking confirmations, welcome emails for newly booked couples, scheduled reminders, and milestone‑based communications. Each flow was designed to reduce friction, answer questions before they were asked, and provide reassurance during what can be a stressful planning process.
3. Data‑driven decisions
Using Klaviyo’s event tracking and segmentation capabilities, we structured flows around real actions — bookings made, dates approaching, payments due, tastings scheduled and meetings confirmed. Instead of relying on assumptions, automations were triggered by actual behaviour and timing, ensuring every message was relevant and well‑timed.
4. Automation‑first build
