It’s also a part of our Green Hosting, meaning its hosted on cloud servers which are powered by renewable energy.
It was a privilege to play our part, and we’d like to encourage our community to become a part of the wave of change by taking part in the programme. Read on to find out why the water literacy programme is so important and book a place on the course for your organisation. If you are quick, it won’t cost you a penny!
The water literacy programme is an educational experience which will inform you about water scarcity and how it impacts the UK. However, the crucial aspect of this course is how actionable it is. Upon completion, you will be water literate and you will leave with a plethora of actionable ways to embed change and save water in your organisations, homes and communities.
Water is vital to life on earth, so we should value it more. The abundance of it seems obvious; its in oceans, rivers and in Shropshire, usually falling on our heads. However, in reality this is a deception, water is scarce. Being water literate is about understanding why its scarce, how this exacerbates climate breakdown and why it’s particularly pertinent in the UK.
This course is the result of an immense research effort by industry experts who have dedicated their careers to the study of water scarcity. The course is only possible due to some fantastic partners: Waterwise, Groundwork, Northumbrian Water, Welsh Water, Portsmouth Water, CCW, Southern Water, Virtual College And WRC.
You can complete the programme online or in-person. Online sessions are split over two days with each session lasting three and a half hours. To find dates, please follow this link.
The first 2000 places are fully funded, so book your spot quickly. Collect the drops of knowledge, earn a water literacy accreditation and inspire a wave of change in your workplace, home and community.
